October 7, 2024 | [STATEMENT] One-year Anniversary of the October 7 Attacks on Israel
Freedom Publishers Union solemnly marks the one-year anniversary of the devastating attacks on Israel by the Iranian-backed designated terrorist group, Hamas.
One year ago, we witnessed a large-scale assault that shook the international community to its core.
The barrage of thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, coupled with a multi-pronged ground invasion, remains a stark reminder of the fragility of peace and the ever-present threat of terrorism.
As we reflect on this somber anniversary, our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this act of brutality.
The horrific events of that day, which saw unspeakable violence against civilians, including women and children, continue to resonate with us and the global community.
In the year that has passed, we have observed the resilience of the Israeli people and the unwavering support of their allies.
We reaffirm our stance: Israel has an unequivocal right to exist and to defend itself and its citizens.
There can be no justification for the atrocities the world witnessed on that fateful day.
Freedom Publishers Union continues to stand firmly with Israel, an international friend and ally of the United States and Australia.
We call upon the international community to remain vigilant in the face of terrorism and to support Israel's sovereign integrity.
As we honor the memory of those lost and affected by the events of October 7, 2023, we also renew our commitment to peace, security, and the fight against terrorism in all its forms.
May this somber anniversary serve as a reminder of the importance of international solidarity and the ongoing need for a stable and secure Middle-East.
Furthermore, we must address the deeply troubling acceleration of antisemitism that has emerged in the wake of these attacks.
Freedom Publishers Union unequivocally condemns the rise of anti-Jewish sentiment and actions across the globe.
We call on all individuals, organizations, and governments to denounce antisemitism in all its forms, whether overt or disguised as political criticism.
The fight against this age-old hatred is integral to our commitment to human rights and democratic values.
We must stand united against the spread of antisemitism, educate our communities, and work tirelessly to ensure that Jewish people everywhere can live without fear or discrimination.
We will never forget.
And we will never cease in our efforts to combat hatred, protect the vulnerable, and strive for a world where such atrocities become a relic of the past.
